Understanding the opposing forces of the CQT Triangle is critical when selecting the right builder to construct your new home; specifically when constructing log homes & timber homes which require their own unique technical expertise. For example, if your primary concern is meeting an aggressive timeline for your new log home or timber home, then it’s more likely cost will increase. There is also the risk that the quality of your log home or timber home will be compromised in order to meet an aggressive timeline. Conversely, if the builder has a more flexible building schedule, it may allow him the time to achieve a higher standard of quality and more opportunity to better control costs. However, if your primary concern is staying within a specified budget, accepting a more modest quality standard may be required. Understanding the relationship of Cost, Quality and Time is important in choosing the right builder. Planning on building a log home on a site we have purchased in the Pocono Mtns.; however, due to the awaiting perc test and time frame for monies. We are looking at approx. 6 years. Love your Beartooth design and think we might have found heaven (ha ha). Please let me know of any builders in that area that I might be researching to do this job. Thank you in advance for your help.

Craig - I am happy to hear that you have found a log home plan that you really like. We see a lot of interest in the Beartooth design.
At PrecisionCraft, we travel to your build site to set up the log & timber structure of your home. This ensures one company accountability and responsibility for the log & timber materials in your home. But, you are right, you will still need a builder to finish out your home for you. Once you select a builder, we will do review of the builder for you - looking at the builder’s references, licenses and insurance. So, don’t worry about finding a builder for your log home.
